  • Life Coaching vs Business Coaching? What’s the difference and which do you offer?

    For many of my clients, we handle both the life side of things and the business side of things.

    As a freelancer, entrepreneur, or small business owner, it’s hard to “leave work at work” and keep a solid boundary and balance between the two.

    Often, what trips us up in business, also trips us up in our daily lives - the mindset hurdles, the limiting beliefs, the self-sabotage.

    So, most often, we do both.

    I do have some clients who are solely business coaching and some who are solely life coaching, but my principles as your sounding board and advisor are the same:

  • How long do clients typically work with me?

    There’s no set answer for this question but, coming off the heels of yesterday’s post about my recommendation of month-by-month plans, it’s a common follow-up.

    If a client has a specific goal they are after, we usually work together until that goal is achieved or some major benchmark is reached.

    A few years ago, I worked with a woman who wanted to move into a van. We talked every week for a few months about things she needed to consider during her van build process, which features she needed and what were lower priorities.

    When she moved into her beautiful rig, we talked for a few more weeks to work out the kinks, then she left the nest and hit the road.

    We still touch base periodically and I love seeing where her travels have taken her!

    When I work with clients who are growing a freelance career or small business, we can meet anywhere from a few weeks to a year or more.

    I’m here for you as long as you need me. And we can take hiatuses as your plans move along and reconnect down the road.

    There is no set timeframe for working with a coach. It can be goal-specific or a lifestyle overview.

    It’s up to you to decide what’s best for you.

  • Which should I book? An a la carte call or the monthly package?

    My website shows a few different coaching packages.

    We’ve got the 30-Minute Call, the 60-Minute A La Carte Call, and two different monthly packages for coaching.

    Here’s what each of them is best for:

    30-Minute Coaching Session

    These are primarily Intro Calls. They are a great starting point if we haven’t worked together before or you’re not quite sure what your goals are.

    They can also be used as small booster sessions between our regular calls or if you have a small, specific question or situation you need help with.

    60-Minute A La Carte Coaching Session

    If you want to have calls on an as-needed basis, this is the place for you!

    These calls have no monthly obligation. They can be as frequent or infrequent as you want. We’ll meet via Zoom for an hour to discuss your highs & lows, goals & tripping hazards. We will address mindset challenges as well as action-oriented steps to take to move your career forward.

    They do not include email or text back & forth between calls.

    Package A

    This is the most popular package. We hop on Zoom every week for an hour to talk about your highs & lows, goals & tripping hazards. We address mindset challenges as well as action-oriented steps to take to move your career forward.

    This plan does not include any email or text back and forth between calls.

    By booking a month at a time, you’ll get 11.11% off each call - rather than paying $225 for each session, you’ll only pay $200!

    Package B

    This is a more robust package for clients who are in active growth & negotiations & would like more support throughout the week between Zoom calls.

    Just like Package A, we hop on Zoom every week for an hour to talk about your current situation and how to get where you want to go.

    In between sessions, you can also email or text me with questions, ask me to review emails, slide decks, responses, etc.

  • Can I Cancel or Reschedule My Session?

    If sessions are rescheduled more than 24 hours in advance, the fee can be applied to the future session. If sessions are rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance, the fee is not applied to the next session.

    If sessions are canceled more than 24 hours in advance, a 50% refund will be processed. If sessions are canceled less than 24 hours in advance, no refund is given.
